Early Learning STEM Australia (ELSA)

Early Learning STEM Australia (ELSA) is a play-based digital learning program for preschool children. It helps them explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) concepts. ELSA allows children to make sense of the world around them by playing, experimenting, asking questions, making predictions, and reflecting on what happened and why.
The 2019 ELSA Pilot has 110 participating preschool services across Australia. It will be delivered via a series of educational apps on tablets as well as hands-on activities off the apps. ELSA has been developed by the University of Canberra through funding provided by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training, under the National Innovation and Science Agenda.
